During the regularly scheduled July 12 Board of Supervisors Meeting, staff will present a report and recommended comment letter on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed trust acquisition of 15 parcels comprised of approximately 853 acres by the United States for the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. The proposed trust acquisition would remove the affected lands from the civil regulatory jurisdiction of Yolo County and the State of California.

The EA is available for public review on the internet at www.yochadeheea.com or at the Woodland City Library located at 250 First Street, Woodland, CA 95695, and the Esparto Regional Library located at 17065 Yolo Avenue, Esparto, CA 95627. The comment period on the EA began on June 15, 2011 and ends on July 14, 2011. The Bureau of Indian Affairs Pacific Region Office is accepting comments on the Environmental Assessment via mail to Amy Dutschke, Regional Director, Pacific Regional Office, 2800 Cottage Way, Room W-2820, Sacramento, CA 95825.
