Yolo County Launches New Road to Licensure Program
The Yolo County Department of Community Services' Environmental Health Division has introduced the Compact Mobile Food Operation (CMFO) retail food permit to simplify sidewalk food vending regulations. On September 24, 2024, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors approved a fee waiver program for unlicensed food vendors and established equipment grants of up to $1,000. This financial support is available based on specific criteria, including income and County residency. This program reflects Yolo County's commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and ensuring public health, ultimately enriching the community and improving the quality of life for all residents.
