In response to staffing challenges, the Yolo County Central Landfill’s Big Blue Barn thrift store, located at 44090 County Road 28H, will be temporarily adjusting its hours of operation for the month of October. Beginning immediately, the facility will be closed on Thursdays and will only be open on Saturday, October 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the 50% off sale.

The Big Blue Barn plays a crucial role in the diversion and recycling goals of the Yolo Landfill, and the decision to temporarily reduce hours has not been taken lightly. The Community Services Department appreciates the patience and understanding of residents as it works toward resuming regular operations of the facility on November 2.
