PRESS RELEASE
Yolo County Elections and its print vendor have identified a duplication in the mailing of County Voter Information Guides to certain voters in the Davis area. A small number of voters (less than 1.5%) received two copies of the guide instead of one, due to a technical issue during the printing and distribution process.
The County Voter Information Guide is an essential resource that contains important details about the upcoming elections, including ballot measures, candidate statements, and voting procedures.
“We apologize for any confusion this duplication may have caused,” said Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters. “Our goal is to ensure that every voter has the information they need to participate in the democratic process.”
The vendor responsible for the printing and mailing of the guides will absorb the unnecessary duplication cost and has implemented measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Voters who received two guides can keep both copies for reference. However, if there are any concerns or if a voter believes they did not receive their guide, they are encouraged to contact Yolo County Elections at (530) 666-8133 or by email elections@yolocounty.gov for assistance.
The duplicate mailing pertains to the County Voter Information Guides only and will not affect the mailing of vote by mail ballots. Vote by mail ballots will be mailed beginning, Monday, October7, 2024, to registered voters.
