Building Inspection Request Form

Can I Work Without an Inspection?

No. Do not work past the current inspection until the inspection is approved.

Am I Ready to Schedule an Inspection?

Plans, specifications, manufacturer's installation instructions, your permit and inspection card must all be on site for your inspection. All of the work to be inspected must be complete prior to calling for inspection. If you are not ready for inspection, you will be charged a reinspection fee.

Scheduling an Inspection

Currently, inspections must be scheduled in person, by phone, or email. You must submit your request by 2:00 pm the day before you need the inspection.

Requirements for All Inspections

Construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to inspection and such construction or work shall remain accessible and exposed for inspection purposes until approved. Approval as a result of an inspection shall not be construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of any law, code, regulation, or standard.

The approved permit, inspection card, and plans, including any approved revisions, must be onsite and available to the inspector before the inspection can start. Any deviations from the approved plans must be approved by the inspector. The inspector may request the submittal of a plan revision prior to approval.

It is acceptable and expected to combine inspections whenever possible. For example, it is typical for Rough Electrical, Rough Mechanical, Rough Plumbing, and Framing to all be inspected on a single inspection.
