Aviation Advisory Committee

Committee of Pilots and Aviation Community 

This airport committee is a seven-member team from the aviation community, which reviews and suggests policy on the development programs for the Yolo County Airport and its surroundings. This committee is an excellent sounding board for airport planning which leads to a more effective Airport Layout Plan.

Membership Information

There are seven members total on this committee. Five of them are appointed by each member of the Board of Supervisors (four of these must be licensed pilots), and two are elected by the Board as a whole. The term is four years long, starting January 1st.  Individuals interested in serving on this advisory body may submit an application to the Yolo County Board of Supervisors. Meetings

The Aviation Advisory Committee (AAC) is comprised of representatives from the airport community; primarily hangar tenants and fixed base of operations (FBO) operators. County staff attend to provide feedback to the committee, if needed, produce minutes from the meetings, and provide input and feedback to the County Board of Supervisors on issues arising out of the committee meetings.
