COVid-19 Guidance for the work place

On February 3rd CalOSHA adopted non-emergency COVID-19 preventative regulations. Employers subject to CalOSHA should follow the new COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency Regulations.

Employers and workers in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, clinics and medical offices, home health care, long term care facilities and hospices, and other medical services are subject to the Aerosol Transmissible Disease Standards.

All employers must follow applicable Cal/OSHA regulations. Employers subject to Cal/OSHA must follow the new COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency Regulations

Reporting cases to Yolo County

Employers are no longer required to report COVID-19 outbreaks to the County. Employers should report COVID-19 outbreaks to the Cal/OSHA Division in accordance with normal reporting procedures.

For certain settings, including Long-Term Care Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, the threshold for reporting is ≥1 probable or confirmed COVID-19 cases in a resident of HCP. Employers are required to report information about their workplace and about the workers with COVID-19.
