What is the CCS Medical Therapy Program (MTP)?
The CCS MTP provides free occupational and physical therapy services to children (birth to 21 years) with certain long term neurologic or orthopedic disabilities. Medically eligible conditions include, but are not limited to, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, arthritis, or muscular dystrophy.
We offer Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) at Greengate School in Woodland and the Alyce Norman Educational Center in West Sacramento. PT and OT treatments are individualized to each child's needs and can include the following: developmental skills, transfers, wheelchair use, gait training, motor skills, feeding, oral motor, dressing, grooming, home skills, technology, fine motor skills, equipment evaluations, splinting and orthotics fabrication, home programs. The goal of therapy is directed toward attaining maximum function within the limits of the child's capabilities.

How do you refer and apply?
Referrals to the Medical Therapy Unit (MTP) can be made by anyone, such as a parent, teacher, school nurse, or physician.
Referrals and applications are accepted by phone, mail, or fax.
