The President declared a major disaster for the State of California on January14, 2023, and he amended January 17, 2023, as a result of the severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides that began on December 27, 2022 and are continuing, pursuant to his authority under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, Pub. L. No. 93-288 (1974) (codified as amended at 42 U.S.C. § 5121 et seg.) (Statford Act).The following counties have been designated as eligible for Public Assistance: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Inyo, Los Angeles, Madera, Marin, Mariposa, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, San Benito, San Diego, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Siskiyou, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Ventura, and Yolo Counties.
